Imagine yourself holding a faceted crystal between your thumb and index finger. It is very large and as you hold it up to the sun, you can observe the light filter through its body.

You already know, of course, that very rare and beautiful gems are traded for unimaginable amounts of money. But what you see here within your hand is something so beautiful, that it would be completely meaningless to assign a monetary value to it.

If you try, you will find that anything measured with a price tag hereafter would cease to be of any importance to you. You will find, that your sense of value has changed fundamentally.


Not all gems are crystals with the ability to spread white light, however. The word "gem" can also be used to describe a piece of art, a book, an architectural feat, gardens, or other things. Even some people can be described like this. What I will embark to present for you in the time ahead, is a gem of reason.

It may take some conditioning to know how to treat such a body of reason. And if you are, you are welcome to bring it up to the sunlight. What you probably will see, then, is why this gem only with great difficulty can be "traded" like other "gems". You could try, but then I think you should prepare yourself for some fundamental changes in how you view the world you live in.

You may find, however, that this particular gem can be used to filter the light you send out by yourself. By this I mean, that your own interactions with your environment can find a wider meaning in light of this reasoning. What you see from this can be quite challenging, too, and if so - may it inspire yourself to some deeper study...


I have tried a similar approach to convey insight before - with mixed success I must admit. But I see reasons why those instances can better be seen as learning experiences.

As time goes by, we may all find that focus changes. Knowledge and perspective increase, and emphasis may change. And barriers for communication may decrease. Often we find this is all it takes - to find the door to “the secret garden”.

Progress is not always based on radical new ideas, however - sometimes it is, and sometimes it is not. When looking back we may hopefully find, that we all were exactly where we needed to be.

That is something to think about. I have held a crystal up to the light and was amazed by light shinning through it and how some crystals are prisms of color.I have meet people in my life that are real gems and how just having them in my life at that moment is such a joy. Some things in life are just price- less you can not put a price tag on things or events in life.I have heard of the power of crystals, healing, better intuition, opening the third eye, and the differents colors will attract a deeper power.

To justify an overstatement of expectation, like I did in the first post, I would have to invent the engine that would put a man on the planet Mars in two days, or something like that.

May I offer the simple explanation: The effect is to put a demand on myself, to make it right this time. This is also the reason why I still let time be of minor importance in this. If it takes time to find the right words, then so be it.

A face gets a funny colour by holding the breath. Please avoid that. Or else, the makeup companies would find a challenge beyond measure, to create new makup making us all look "normal".

I am sorry I did not see your post until now. Thank you for replying!

Yes - people can be exactly at the right place at the right time - and the funny thing is, they may not even be aware of it. What if we all could find rest in that thought - being right here right now! There are so many situations...

And about the crystals - yes - they can have extremely affirming effects. They are very connected to our chakras. I have experienced it myself. They played a central role in directing during a period in my own life, when I was searching very deeply. And the further development was ... ... just indescribable. How can one describe the sensation of the 6th chakra moving in vicinity of the throat? Or the Kundalini rising from the base to reach the heart at the back? There simply are no words.

We get what we reach for. It is as simple as that. It may take some time though. If there are conflicting issues playing within our personalities, it may not be that easy. And this may be the origin to a lot of ridicule too, because sadly - many find this disencouraging. And then the reach may terminate and switch into other expressions.

But if we by patience and calm reach even further out - by conviction and hope - by faith - by trust - there is help to be found. Those who have yet to find it, may find it difficult. But hardship can actually have a purpose. It makes us reach for something precious, even if we have no idea how precious....

You are right about hard ship does have a purpose, at the time you are wondering why your going through it and it is just throwing your whole life off kilt. When you look back it does put things in proper place in your life and what is the most important is filtered out. When you your self are going through it,it does suck big time, and faith is the only thing that gets you through it. There are so many powers to crystals, opening charkas is an inportant point.
This is off subject have you seen the new Avatar movie in 3D-it is great!!!!!!!!It felt like I was watching Stars Wars for the first time, their was so much action and in 3D it felt like you where right there in a hologram and I felt like I was going through the jungle with the branches right in front of you. When there was a blast I was ducking with out thinking, and when they where riding the creatures it felt like I was right there. It was great!

I have come to see the good reasons why I have struggled so much on this topic. For those of you, who have seen this coming for some time now, may I just confirm with a quote from my own writings here at Pathways:

"[...] I struggled with an overall perspective on life as a human being. Now - human life is so diverse, that such a view would certainly be impossible to capture in writing - or in any form for that matter, else than plain forward living it."

The full realization of this is difficult to describe, as it touches life in large and small. The dilemma is universal, I find. Sometimes we see the signs - sometimes not. They can be like mountains - or like a grain of sand.
