Love??
Love means nothing when it's fuelled by lies, And some cannot see the harm That is put before their eyes They do not see the heartache Or the pain endured When captivated by a glance In a moment when they are lured Like walking in the baby pool where the depths Are shallow, not so deep It is tiresome and lonely And you loose allot of sleep And the love they have to give Was just a moment of lust; They take your sense of purpose And they steal allot of trust Love says believe me Yet their is nothing to perceive Just lies and deception And someone to deceive So many are so fickle with a web of lies so tight They cannot break those binds No matter how hard they fight Yet the love I know accepts All the hardships that you felt It gives and keeps on giving No matter what you dealt And the pain that it endures Is a lifetime full of love With a sky full of sunshine and blue skies above And grey days with storms, where rivers overflow Kept safe, within a heart of secrets That one day, you may know But it cannot keep accepting All the lies and deceit And love is never stupid When it rages with so much heat It does not accept another sacrifice That you may feel will fix your wrong Love always wins a battle Because love is always strong ©Copyright Diane Rogers aka Diana Beacon |
